MFA mode field matching device (mode matching device) is a special process used to reduce the loss during fusion splicing of optical fibers with different mode field diameters and numerical apertures. It can achieve maximum transmittance of the fundamental mode signal at the melting point, and the transmission direction from small mode field to large mode field is forward, and vice versa.
