ASE-0850-02 is an ASE light source in the 850nm wavelength range using Er doped fluoride fibers as gain media. Silicon photodiodes are most sensitive in the wavelength range of 850nm, making the 850nm band the most optimal wavelength range for measurement. This is a preferred light source for the research and evaluation of optical devices such as plastic waveguides.
