PM 850nm Panda type polarization maintaining fiber

Xiaoxiao Photon's panda shaped and bow tie shaped single-mode polarization maintaining (PM) fibers. Both are named according to the stress bars used. The stress rod is parallel to the fiber core, and the applied stress generates birefringence inside the fiber core, thereby maintaining polarization. The panda shaped stress bar is cylindrical, while the bow tie type uses a trapezoidal prism stress bar, as shown in the above figure. Usually, these two types of optical fibers can be used interchangeably. Panda shaped optical fibers have been used in the field of communication because cylindrical stress rods are easier to maintain uniformity over long distances during production.
