Customized processing of thermal expansion core fiber (thermal expansion core fiber)

NIR-TEC-30-9-SA TEC (Thermally Expanded Core Fiber) fiber technology is used to measure the mode field diameter at the end of the thermal expansion fiber. This can be used for commercial SI-SMF. Increasing the mode field diameter by one or three times at the end of the fiber alters the refractive index distribution and reduces the numerical aperture. The larger the tolerance of axial and clearance displacement, the smaller the coupling loss. Small changes in the diameter of the cladding can be achieved by inserting metal hoops and installing connectors (as shown in the figure on the right).
