MetroGain erbium-doped fiber (C+L band)

Fibercore M-12 (980/125) erbium-doped fiber belongs to Fibercore's erbium-doped MetroGain series fiber. This series of optical fibers is specifically designed for low-cost or small single-stage EDFAs. It has high optical conversion efficiency, allowing EDFA to be achieved with only a short fiber length. This series of optical fibers has multiple cladding size specifications to meet the needs of different EDFAs. The MetroGain series of fibers offers three products based on 980nm pumping and one product based on 1480nm pumping, which can achieve fiber amplifiers in the C-band (1530~1565nm) and L-band (1565~1625nm). M-12 (980/125) is an optical fiber based on 980nm pumping, with high pump absorption rate, therefore it requires a short length as a gain fiber.
